Frequently Asked Questions About Speech Therapy

Should I wait to see if my child will grow out of their delay?

No!

Most children do not independently grow out of their language difficulties with age. Speech therapy helps to close the gap and support more efficient language growth.

Do you accept insurance?

To allow for the highest quality care and most individualized intervention, Zachary Kopp Speech Therapy is out-of-network for all insurance providers.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Credit card payments are processed through a secure third party site and are charged on the day of service.

What ages do you work with?

I specialize in early intervention speech therapy for children ages 1-5, though I work with pediatric clients of all ages.

Therapy looks different across different ages, and I have experience tailoring goals and exercises to fit any client's age and language needs.

Do you offer
in-home services?

Yes! I specialize in providing in home speech therapy.

This allows us to work on skills in your child's most natural environment. This approach is effective and helps your child directly carry practiced skills over into their daily life.

What areas do you serve?

Mr. Zak Speech Therapy currently provides in home services across Marietta, East Cobb, Smyrna, Vinings, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Roswell, Chamblee, and Brookhaven.

Do you provide virtual therapy?

Yes! Virtual speech therapy is effective for many clients.

If virtual sessions are scheduled, we ask that a caregiver joins each session to facilitate and support your child online.

Can I be involved during sessions?

Yes, as much as you are able! Family involvement increases the success of therapy and is so very important!

For younger clients, much of the focus of therapy will be on coaching you and other caregivers to support your child's language growth both in and outside of sessions.

How long are the sessions?

Most therapy sessions are 30-40 minutes long, tailored to your child's attention span and needs.

How often will my child need therapy?

This varies by child. Starting with 1-to-2 times a week is common, and we can adjust based on your child's progress and what works best for your family.

Do you provide feeding therapy?

To allow me to specialize in the highest quality therapy for speech, language, and communication delays and disorders, feeding therapy is not offered at this time.
